My name is Fran Brynford-Jones and I live and teach in Jaco, Costa Rica. I trained in Sydney, Australia as a Slow Flow, Yin and Yoga Nidra Teacher, having been practising longer than I care to remember. From my personal experience both as a student and a teacher I think it is important to prioritise listening. I try to hear what the student is saying even when they cannot actually express what they mean in words. Or don’t want to.

I listen and look at the ‘stickiness’ of the joints and tendons, at the limited options available to some bodies and to some who get stuck emotionally. One can work with grief, ill health and lack of flexibility bringing steadiness, ease and understanding. That’s pretty much my philosophy as it stands today.

“I can unequivocally say that you, Fran Brynford-Jones, offer the best psycho-physical, whole body conscious guidance of any yoga teacher I have ever met! Your attention to teaching students an effortless, yet dynamic awareness, integrating conscious control of the entire body is a true gift.
I LOVED your class!”
in gratitude . . . . Gina Chapman (student)
