PEACOCK PAVILIONS, MARRAKECH. MOROCCO

An international group of women descend on this gorgeous property, with every  facility to make this a retreat of a lifetime.

"If I never did another retreat again, this has been  so fulfilling - but I will.”

We  lived and loved this retreat to the hilt.  Sometimes the yoga was  interestingly challenging.  Sometimes just chilling at the beautiful pool was enough. Sometimes hiking proved a challenge but with the added benefit of purchasing a carpet on the way.  Dinners were exotically curated, the wine flowed and the friendships flourished.  Parting  had a poignancy and joy. knowing that in a year we would see each other once more.

One of the most potent influences on ones nervous system are the people around you.  Your relationships and your interactions with your community, impact on your emotions, thoughts and physiology in either nourishing or depleting ways.
I feel this is  one of the main benefits  of a Mariposa Yoga Retreat..

CASA FUZETTA, OLHAO, PORTUGAL

This took “going on a retreat” to another level. Casa Fuzetta is an experience in itself. Tara Donovan and her awesome house team provided a first class, luxury canvas, on which we painted a picture. We practiced, we meditated, we chanted, we took silence and we talked and laughed late into the night, only to reappear the next morning, on the mat, in the warm autumn sunshine. The picture I personally have etched on my brain is one of friendship. New friendships were forged and old friendships strengthened and nurtured. The imaginative and delicious food and wines of the region certainly helped.

Mariposa was very special and exceeded all my expectations & this due to FranLinda Aitchison

The reality is that it was very special because of the interesting, intelligent and generous women who attended this retreat.

QUINTA BONITA, LAGOS, PORTUGAL

This had the 5 star luxury retreat feel about it. Beautiful yoga studio, great communal dining area for brekkie, lunches and dinner.  Great fun exploring the wines of the region accompanied by the most inspirational food curated by our chef, Olivia.  Portugal is always a win win, especially if you take the time to travel prior to your retreat.  Such great conversation, so many memories created and all with yoga and mindfulness being the golden thread.

VIDA  ASANA, HERMOSA BEACH, COSTA RICA

Nestled in a lush tropical  paradise, this retreat centre provided the perfect setting for my first retreat in Costa Rica. Plenty of time practicing yoga in  perfect custom built yoga shalas, plenty of  free time exploring the area, an area of great natural beauty and plenty of time eating delicious organic food.

CARARA NATIONAL PARK, COSTA RICA

Away, away from real life as we know it and into the bubble of peace and tranquility, high up into this wilderness of Carara National Park.  Simple accommodation, delicious meals and fabulous cocktails. Journaling, yoga and sound healing.  A classic combination to forge friendships and find joy.
